The Longyear Museum is dedicated to the only American woman to found a religious denomination, Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science. The exhibits are housed in a beautiful new building designed by Stopfel Architects. They occupy two separate galleries that are linked by a lobby and loggia, also designed by Amaze. Here, visitors of all religious backgrounds find a welcoming and contemplative spacein which to explore the life of a woman driven by a spiritual discovery. Mary BakerEddy’s life and work is experienced by groups and individuals through media, audio, artifacts, and her own words.
Amaze Design created the conceptual and intellectual framework, designed all two- and three-dimensional exhibit elements, produced all media, and oversaw fabrication, production, and installation of the exhibits for the museum.
