Vulcan Park and Museum

Birmingham, Alabama

An award-winning production for the 1904
St. Louis World’s Fair and the Works Progress Administration (WPA), Birmingham’s historic Vulcan Park was selected by the White House and the National Trust For Historic Preservation for restoration under the Save America’s Treasures millennium initiative.

Amaze Design, in collaboration with HKW Associates, Architects, and Nimrod Long, Landscape Architects, completed the design and construction for the Visitor Center and new 5-acre park. The scope of the project also included outdoor interpretive trails, public parking, and a new outdoor café. Amaze Design was involved in this project from master plan through construction. Now completed, the site serves as a vital educational and recreational destination for local visitors and tourists.
