The 125 year old Baltimore Zoo houses more than 2,000 animals including 273 species, 33 of which are endangered. In renovating this facility, the zoo plans to make their zoo an even more powerful resource for entertainment, education and economic benefit for the region. Amaze Design was called in to help make it happen.

Amaze Design's master plan for the zoo includes the creation of the “Wild Earth!” Amphibian and Reptile Taskforce (W.A.R.T.) headquarters facility. W.A.R.T. will provide guests with a “backstage pass” to one of the world's most successful reptile conservation facilities. Additional design phases – aimed at executing the Master Plan – include a
Penguin Conservation and Breeding Facility, and a Tundra Buggy Trek among polar bears, snowy owls, and arctic fox.
