The Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail Visitor Center (National Park Service) commemorates the historic 1965 civil rights march that helped gain the right to vote for all Americans. The Tent City Interpretive center is located on a historically significant location along the original route of the 1965 march.

For this project Amaze Design put together an extensive research team, largely Alabama-based, to locate objects, images and stories from those who were in the march. We worked extensively with local and community leaders and closely with the NPS client to develop the story and design of the nationally important exhibit. We also collaborated with an awarding winning film producer of such documentaries as Eyes on the Prize and Free to Dance, to create a film that will be featured at the Tent City Interpretive Center.
